NOVA’s research aligned with
the Sustainable Development Goals

NOVA’s research for Sustainable Development Goals
Sustainability is the driver of a significant part of NOVA’s research, addressing societal problems and offering a comprehensive understanding and effective solutions. Leading by example, NOVA is committed towards the delivery of sustainable development goals and recognises the importance of interdisciplinary practices to move forward. NOVA research is developed through national and international collaborations while providing the proper framework to engage different stakeholders. NOVA’s research excellency is shown across the 39 R&D Units, being 92% recognized as very good and excellent research units (FCT international evaluation, 2019). NOVA research is also recognized by its practices to promote an open dialogue with society through several initiatives.
