At the end of this curricular unit the student will have acquired knowledge, skills and competences that allow him to understand, in an applied way at the laboratory level, the concepts and the theoretical training obtained previously in the CU of the water and wastewater treatment areas.
It is intended to enable students to carry out pilot-scale studies of various operations and unit processes used in water and wastewater treatment systems, creating replicas of real systems in the laboratory, or providing experimental methodologies to complement the analytical skills required at the operation.
Students will be able to identify, develop and conduct independent research, including fieldwork and laboratory research; as well as a series of trials that will be used in water treatment plants and which will give them the robustness of knowledge to investigate and assist in decision support in regular as well as less conventional situations.
