The aim of this CU is to train students to solve complex problems of waste management, more specifically the operation of waste treatment facilities. It is intended that students develop the ability to relate the fundamental concepts learned before and deepened in this CU, in a perspective of development of the parts to the whole. At the end of this curricular unit, the student should have acquired knowledge, skills and competences that will enable him to understand the functioning of the waste treatment facilities, make the diagnosis and identify the critical steps and suggest corrective measures.
