Urban Hydraulics

The course aims to provide the students with the basic skills and understandings of practical and theoretical issues involved in the urban water cycle. Knowledge of functionality and use of previous known hydraulic, constructive and economic subjects are also considered key issues. To allow the students to have a starting education on fundamental subjects respecting engineering global design and building, including basic knowledge on materials and construction, hydraulics and economics methods and the understanding of the overall construction action and operation and maintenance works, especially regarding water distribution, wastewater and stormwater collection and transport systems. Some primary rules on design and analysis are also given, regarding new or existing systems.
