At the end of this course the student will have acquired knowledge, skills and competences that allow him to: read, understand and interpret graphic records; be able to spatially visualize and critically analyze drawn pieces; know the rules and norms of the Technical Drawing, namely to be able to execute a complete and rigorous representation; know how to use CAD (Computer Aided Design); know the existing cartography and its graphic record; understand and apply the principles of representation and cartographic conventions; obtain metric information from available cartography; understand the fundamentals of Geographic Information Science; understand and structure the spatial dimension of Environmental Engineering problems; know how to work with applications of Geographic Information Systems; be able to handle CAD and GIS in the context of the Environmental Engineering profession.
