The main goal of the course is to offer students relevant knowledge in the area of sustainable urban mobility with special emphasis on the main stakeholders involved, business models adopted, innovative technologies and disruptive products and solutions under a smart connected digital city environment. The student will be able to learn new information regarding types of transportation systems and mobility solutions, infrastructures required, policies and regulations involved, type of investments and operational costs, in order to be able to analyze for a specific mobility solution i) the business model and ii) the economic and environmental impact. Special emphasis will be given to the life cycle analysis concerning conventional and alternative solution allowing students to effectively quantify the global impact of new alternative mobility solutions in contributing to mitigate climate change.
