Sustainable Mobility and Transport

At the end of this CU students will:
– Understand the relationship between the mobility and transport system, the urban system and the environmental system.
– Understand the various types of urban, social and environmental externalities associated with various modes of transport.
– Know the fundamentals of sustainable urban mobility planning (SUMP’s). Focus on the fundamentals of the planning and management for the pedestrian and cycling mobility and the interfaces of public transport, road network, parking and public spaces.
– Know how to carry out audits on the quality of pedestrian mobility as well as the quality of cycling routes.
– Be able to carry urban-environmental analyzes of public transport interfaces in accordance with the TOD Model. Focus in the urban area surrounding the interface.
– Be able to intervene in the regeneration of mobility and transport systems, aiming to improve their impact on the local and global environment, human health and urban efficiency.
