This course reviews public policies and industrial strategies in the field of Renewable Energies including Eolic, Photovoltaic, Hydroelectric, Geothermic and Bioenergy. Major orientation documents from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) are reviewed as well as recent statistics of energy production and use. Policy documents are analysed with particular emphasis for European and Portuguese Policies.
