The students are exposed to a progressive sequence of knowledge, first in the vegetal production and then in the animal production, in an integrated view of agricultural production in Portugal. The way the topics are exposed leads to the integrated learning of different primary production of food. This knowledge is important for the chemical and sensory understanding of food, in particular to aspects related to its nutritional value. Students will also develop an integrated view of agriculture and its multifunctionality. Know the social and
