Macroeconomic Policies

The aim of this course is to motivate the student with the use of simple analytical tools to discuss macroeconomic problems and the scope for government intervention. The course is divided in two main blocks: one focusing on long-run growth and its determinants; the other covering business cycles, and the role of monetary and fiscal policies. Relevant topics include the study of unemployment and the role of policies and tools for macroeconomic stability.
