At the end of this course the student will have acquired knowledge, skills and competencies that allow: define a watershed and identified is physiographic characteristics; characterized the precipitation regime over a watershed; calculate the evaporation from water bodies and the potential evapotranspiration from a region; understand the infiltration, percolation and drainage process of water in the soil; estimation of runoff, peak flows and corresponding water volumes; calculate soil losses by water erosion and sediment transportation by the runoff; knowledge of methods taught in the scope of the discipline, towards a theoretical and practical approach of problems and questions regarding hydrology and quantitative analysis of water resources.
