Know the main electromechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment systems and understand the fundamental concepts for their selection, sizing, installation and operation.
To know and understand the fundamentals of the main control, instrumentation and automation schemes used in WTP and WWTP engineering, as well as associated complementary organs such as pump stations and other ancillary operations along the respective networks. Special focus on the nature and diversity of materials suitable for the different systems concerned, including aspects related to equipment life and associated energy analysis, both from the point of view of associated consumption and the associated carbon footprint, allowing to be able to take more conscious and mitigating options for the impacts associated with these systems, which, as is generally known, present themselves as major energy consumers.
