1. Provide the student with the bases that support the integration of the ecological component in the practice of the environmental engineer
2. Provide the students with the skills to restore degraded ecosystems, according to state-of-the-art practices, to achieve a sustainable and a requalified environment.
3. Elaborate plans/projects for ecosystems restoration and to monitor the success of those plans/projects for the sustainable management of the territory.
4. Intertwine theory and practice, through field evaluation of implemented techniques in ongoing projects or using case studies
5. Provide capacity to elaborate, evaluate and present proposals for intervention regarding sustainable planning processes
6. Apply methodologies and techniques of spatial, diagnostic and prospective analysis for sustainable management.
