This CU provides a general understanding of chemical principles that are fundamental to study and manipulate biological systems. The CU unit covers the following topics: biomolecules and small molecule labelling techniques, bioconjugation, chemical tools for biology and medicine, biomimetic systems. The Chemical Biology CU is intended for students who are interested in chemistry and in biological sciences including biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.
