This course aims to provide theoretical and practical information on air pollution and noise, including concepts and definitions, the ability to solve problems and define mitigation measures, all in line with the existing legislative framework. At the end of this course the student will have acquired knowledge and skills to: understand the main air quality concepts and indicators, main pollutants and processes, and design of mitigation measures; understand the main noise concepts and noise indicators, process noise maps and design of mitigation measures; be able to contribute to assessments of the state of the environment in both the air quality and noise components in real projects situations, with full knowledge of the health implications that cause air and noise pollution, developing integrated approaches and solutions.
