The objectives of the course are to provide an advanced, coherent treatment of relevant topics in the field. Besides, it aims at contributing to strengthen students´ skills (oral and written) to settle solid arguments when discussing economic issues. This course covers theoretical and empirical analyses of topics in Environmental Economics, namely, environmental regulation of negative externalities and the choice of policy instruments under uncertainty, unintended policy consequences of environmental policies, and topics in water and energy economics.
