NOVA schools have developed strong collaboration with health institutions, including local, national and global collaborations, covering more than 200 in the last three years.
At local level, NOVA has regular collaborations with regional and municipal administrations, as Regional Health Authorities, associations and institutes dedicated to specific health topics, as the Association for the Protection of Diabetics of Portugal, health care providers including public and private hospitals and primary health care, universities, pharmaceutical industry and foundations as Champalimaud. At national level, collaboration have been pursued with relevant authorities as the National Health Institute and Directorate-General for Health, contributing with strategic development and research to support policies design, as well as nation-wide associations (e.g. Alzheimer Portugal) to support training, research and clinical activities.
Globally, NOVA has stated partnerships with universities and health institutions, as WHO, and companies, to improve health systems and public health, mostly through research activities.
