Cultural Tourism policies are a powerful tool for reducing inequalities if local communities and all key stakeholders are engaged in tourism development.
IMPACTOUR project promotes sustainable tourism strategies and actions to fight rural depopulation and potentiate urban renewal by supporting economic diversification and economic integration from tourism and cultural sector. Measures to support accessible tourism contribute to social sustainability across all types of areas, as can be seen in IMPACTOUR’s 30 pilots (urban, rural, nature, routes and industrial).
IMPACTOUR is coordinated by CTS/UNINOVA and FCT NOVA Professor João Martins and Professor Pedro Pereira.
