Partnership for Science Education

Raising awareness on public health challenges is a priority for ENSP-NOVA, which is embodied in the PAFSE education project, started in 2022. The project involves schools, universities, companies and education providers, non-formal at home and abroad. Funded by the Horizon 2020 Program, PAFSE – Partnership for Science Education, includes nine institutions from four countries (Portugal, Cyprus, Greece and Poland) in a partnership coordinated by ENSP-NOVA.

In addition to increase students’ knowledge of science and technologies, including businesses and related professions, and to involve teachers and researchers in the design of educational resources, it also aims to strengthen the literacy of populations. In this way, the project also lead students to play a central role as public health ambassadors.

21 schools are involved in this project – two greek (Model High School of Ioannina ant 2nd Model Junior High School of Athens), one polish (School complex nr 4 (Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących nr 41) and 18 portuguese: Agrupamento de Escolas do Alto do Lumiar, Agrupamento de Escolas Ruy Luis Gomes, Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Gonçalves, Agrupamento de Escolas de Paço Arcos, Agrupamento de Escolas de Alvalade, Agrupamento Escolas de Benfica, Agrupamento de Escolas de Santa Maria dos Olivais, Agrupamento de Escolas D. Filipa de Lencastre, Agrupamento de Escolas Luís de Camões, Agrupamento de Escolas Morgado de Mateus – Vila Real, Agrupamento de Escolas D. Sancho II – Alijó, Escola Secundária Camilo Castelo Branco – Vila Real, Colégio de São Gonçalo – Amarante, Escola Profissional do Nervir – Vila Real, EB/ES Passos Manuel, Escola Secundária Emídio Navarro, Colégio Valsassina, ES Vergílio Ferreira e ainda a Secundária do Restelo.
